Have an accepted manuscript? Under the Government of India’s One Nation One Subscription (ONOS) scheme, JNCASR researchers can have their Article Processing Charges (APCs) paid centrally for select Gold open access journals — at no cost to the author or the project grant.
APCs for selected open access journals are centrally funded through INFLIBNET, the executing agency for ONOS.
Who is eligible
All four of the following conditions must be met:
- The applicant is the first author or corresponding author of the article.
- The manuscript has been accepted for publication (documentary evidence required).
- The journal is listed on the official ONOS APC Support page.
- APC is not being paid from any other source — funding agency, project grant, or any other Indian or international institution.
How the process works
To apply, the corresponding author from JNCASR must first register on the ONOS APC portal at https://www.onos.gov.in/apc and submit the APC waiver request along with the required documents. As the workflow and portal interface are updated from time to time, please refer to the official ONOS APC pages for the latest step-by-step process and screenshots:
- ONOS APC Support page — official process & guidelines
- APC Help Manual (PDF) — detailed user guide for the portal
Documents to upload
- Acceptance letter from the publisher.
- Invoice / proforma invoice from the publisher, raised in the ONOS billing details (see below).
- Author Declaration form, signed by all authors, in the ONOS prescribed format, with endorsement from the JNCASR Head of Institution.
Invoicing & billing details for the publisher
The publisher’s invoice / proforma invoice must be raised in the name and address of ONOS as shown below. Please share these details with your publisher carefully.
