What is EndNote Web? ·
- A web-based program that allows you to store, edit, and manage up to 10,000 citations.
- Citations from many databases may be imported into your online account from saved files of citations, directly from a limited number of databases, or manually.
- Works with Microsoft Word (requires free Cite While You Write plug-in) to allow you to automatically create in-text citations and bibliographies in a choice of over 1,300 publishing styles.
- Allows online sharing of EndNote Web folders of citations for collaborative projects.
How do I Use EndNote Web?
- Sign up for a free account. If you don't already have an account in an ISI database (i.e. Web of Science), go to myendnoteweb.com to sign up and use.
- Open another window to go to one of the databases (JNC Catalogue, PubMed, etc) to conduct your search, then select or mark desired results.
- Save these results by selecting "Save to list" option. Then go to your private list and select the records you want to download into your reference manager. Select download list and choose file formats such as bibtex or RIS. Save the file into your local disk. Import this saved bibtex or RIS into your EndNote Web.
- Open EndNote Web and import the saved text file into EndNote Web using the appropriate Import Filter.

- Open Microsoft WORD to create your document and insert citations using Cite While You Write (CWYW) while having EndNote Web open.
- Using EndNote Web CWYW, format WORD file in chosen style and save results before printing.
NOTE: Use of EndNote Web CWYW requires a plug-in to be downloaded to your computer. For more details on using EndNote Web to format documents, refer to the video tutorials in the links given below.
How to save records from JNC online catalogue?
